CARING FOR YOUR PUMP!

USING THE SYSTEM – To avoid blockages and damage to the pump, the following items should NOT be placed into the system:

Glass, metal, gravel, sand, coffee grinds, seafood shells, socks, rags or cloths, plastic sanitary napkins or tampons, disposable diapers, kitty litter, explosives, flammable materials, lubricating oil, grease, cooking oil, paint, strong chemicals, gasoline or diesel, stormwater runoff.

WHEN YOU LEAVE FOR THE WINTER or go away for a month or more, the District advises you to run two full bathtubs of clean water through your system. This will ensure that there is no waste laying in your line to create a build up of H2S, or Hydrogen Sulfide, in the sewer lines.  When returning in the summer, or after an extend period of time, it is advised to do the same thing to ensure the system is running correctly.

Don’t forget to keep your control box locked to prohibit tampering.

IF YOU ARE TAKING DOWN YOUR HOUSE, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO INFORM THE DISTRICT OFFICE. UNTIL YOU NOTIFY THE OFFICE, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FULL SEWER BILL, NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED. E-mail: SWconservancy@gmail.com
IF YOU ARE BUILDING A NEW HOME, DOING A REMODEL THAT REQUIRES MOVING YOUR PUMP LINES, OR RELOCATING WHERE YOUR PUMP IS LOCATED,  YOU MUST HAVE YOUR LINE AND PUMP INSPECTED BEFORE RE-BURYING THEM. IF YOU HAVE NOT REQUESTED AN INSPECTION BEFORE BURYING THE PUMP OR LATERAL LINES YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO RETRENCH THE LINES AND PUMP SO AN INSPECTION CAN TAKE PLACE. NO EXCEPTIONS!
